Tomiko Lake sits near Crystal Falls, Ontario, about 55 km from North Bay. It is a 55 km lake on the Sturgeon River, part of the Lake Timiskaming watershed, and it is known for good fishing, clear water, and quiet shores.

The Area
The land around the lake is a mix of forest and open water. There are logging trails that run through the area, and they are good for ATV rides. The forest is quiet and scenic, and it is full of little surprises.
The lake is in Wildlife Management Area 41, which means grouse and partridge hunting is allowed during provincial seasons. The area is also popular for bird watching, especially during spring and fall migration. You can expect to see eagles, herons, and waterfowl throughout the season.
In the fall, the forest turns gold and red. The crisp air and changing leaves make September and October some of the best months on the lake. Fishing improves as the water cools, and the crowds thin out.
